— YOUR SHOP —

— NEEDS MORE SUPPORT —

The Shop needs more support from everyone in the community to ensure it’s survival.

The shop is still very dependent on volunteers and goodwill to keep it running.  Some people are very good customers and supporters but we all villagers to support this life-line service, and do a bit of their shopping locally.

Please make an effort to use the Shop – we all need to USE IT OR LOSE IT.

A  mail drop was carried out in the village in March 2012 with the following message:

“The shop and Post Office have now bee open for more than a year. Sadly, the shop is not making enough money to cover the costs of running it and is making a loss. Whilst many of the community have been supportive we need even more support if the shop is to survive. We particularly urge those who do not use the shop regularly to help and make a contribution to its survival. The shop is now open on Saturday Afternoons to be more convenient for those working during the week. The shop is particularly important to the elderly and the more vulnerable in our village.”

Please help to protect this lifeline service for them.
